What kind of sorcery is this, you managed to embed a sliding gallery into Kinja!

Awesome cars, still need to go there sometime.

The magic of Android and Kinja mobile I guess, I’m also surprised that I somehow got it to work.

It’s definitely worth checking out, although the museum was smaller than the Mercedes Benz museum. The section with the historic touring cars was the very best part of the museum for me. I could have spent all day checking the race cars out.

Haha

I’ll definitely check both out when I happen to find myself in the area. It’s way too long since I’ve been in a car themed museum, I’ve even been to a museum without any cars in it, does this mean I’m losing my oppo membership?

What? No cars?? Smh. Please send your Oppo membership card to the following address: 20 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg, Luxembourg.

J/K, the last time I’ve visited a car themed museum was exactly one year ago to the Mercedes Benz museum.

Haha. The non-car museum did have a good reason though: can’t take a date to a car museum...

Stavelot was car themed too, so it is only 3 months, but that is too little, haha.

Am I weird for actually liking the idea of taking someone to a museum for a date?

Oops, how could I forget something that awesome?

No not that weird, I liked the idea too. It was her idea, though, haha.

GIB NAO!

So many awesome cars, my body almost couldn’t handle so much awesomeness. And thanks, at least my camera can somehow handle bad lighting unlike my phone camera.

Really great photos! I want to go now. In the early stages of planning a trip to Germany for next year.

Now bear in mind that I’m a total amateur so you may even know more than me, but on the pics you really like you should consider doing some basic color editing. Digital cameras take relatively flat pictures for the purpose of their being plenty of information there when editing. Fiddle with brightness, exposure, contrast, saturation, shadows, highlights, and even a spectrum/histogram which allows you adjust the tonal range and contrast if your photo editing software has it. Even without just cranking up the saturation you can make pictures to pop a little more. I also think it looks good to put a tiny amount of vignette on pictures of cars, especially if the photos are taken indoors. Really helps draw attention to the subject of the photo. Also depending on how your editor works, remember edit a copy to save and unedited version of the file separately! It’s always better when you can undo your changes.

Maybe you’ll hate what I did to your photos, but I did messed with few of them with my completely amateur skills for a couple minutes. Differences are quite subtle, but you can really tell if you view them on a large screen in full size. Going back and forth also shows the difference. (It’s also possible to be way more aggressive with the vignette than I was and it will still look okay.)

The last one was a good example because things like the O2 logo were light gray in the original photo, because that’s how the camera’s sensor is tuned, but they can easily be edited with a tonal range adjuster to be true white.

Just food for thought.

Constructive criticism is always welcome, thanks! I’m pretty much a n00b and still learning. The reason why I didn’t edit anything was that I simply wanted to share the picdump asap, plus editing almost 250 photos is time consuming.

I didn’t mean to be critical at all, just making a suggestion for one possible next step with your photos. Editing all of them would be too much work, that’s why I suggested just picking a few favorites and doing those. You don’t even need to edit them for the sake of posting, just do it for the personal satisfaction of getting the most out of your camera and pictures.

I’ve taken hundreds of photos at car museums or cars & coffees just in the last 6 months but I think I’ve only taken the time to edit about 50. I don’t even share my photos or post them, just do it for myself so that my pictures can look as good as they should! It’s very satisfying.

I do like experimenting with Snapseed and VSCO filters as I am limited to my phone due to me not owning a pc.

Post the photos right now or your Jalop Card will be revoked.

Ah, not owning a computer makes it a little harder.

I have a Mac so I can use the “Photos” app. They rolled some of the better tools from apple’s old semi-professional photo editing software “Aperture” into it so it’s good enough for my uses. There are plenty of free software options on Windows too, you’d just have to look to find them if you get one of those.

I promise I’ll post some of my photos. If people like them I can put more.

I really want a Mac just for editing photos and FL Studio. But no way in hell I could justify paying that much for a computer. A car and dslr are much higher on my list right now tbh.

I’m sure c&c pics are always appreciated around here!
